NVIDIA Day 1 Game-Ready Driver Support for Windows 10 May 2020 Update

Microsoft officially launched the Windows 10 May 2020 update today. NVIDIA has a Game Ready Driver available so that developers can deliver the ultimate gaming experience on the latest OS right away. Within this new update, there are a wide variety of new features and functionality ranging from small additions (like GPU temperature being shown in task manager) to the introduction of the new DirectX 12 Ultimate graphics API.

Having already introduced support for DirectX ray tracing, variable rate shading, and mesh shading with the launch of the Turing architecture for GeForce back in September 2018, NVIDIA’s engineers are already extremely familiar with the new features found in DirectX 12 Ultimate.

For months, we’ve been supporting a handful of game developers with prerelease drivers that enable full functionality for DirectX 12 Ultimate. With the Windows 10 May 2020 update now bringing these features to mainstream developers, we are offering our latest prerelease drivers with full DirectX 12 Ultimate support to all developers via our DevZone portal.
