Announcing the NVIDIA Clara Platform: Bringing AI to the Next Generation of Medical Instruments

At GTC Japan in Tokyo, NVIDIA unveiled the Clara platform, a revolutionary computing architecture based on the NVIDIA Xavier AI computing module and NVIDIA Turing GPUs. The platform, which is a combination of hardware and software brings AI to the next generation of medical instruments.
“The Clara platform addresses the great challenge of medical instruments: processing the massive sea of data — tens to thousands of gigabytes worth — generated each second so it can be interpreted by doctors and scientists,” said Kimberly Powell, Vice President of Healthcare at NVIDIA. “
The Clara platform includes CLARA AGX, a single GPU-based architecture that delivers the world’s fastest AI inferencing on NVIDIA Tensor Cores, and the Clara SDK, a set of GPU-accelerated libraries for computing, graphics, and AI.
Some of the use cases include image processing and rendering; and computational workflows for CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
The NVIDIA Clara platform is available now to early access partners.
