Nvsg_logo NVIDIA is pleased to announce the release of the latest NVIDIA Scene Graph Software Development Kit  -- that is, the latest NVSG SDK. The NVSG SDK  is an object-oriented programming library for quickly creating rich, robust 3D scene-graph-based applications under either 32- or 64-bit Windows or Linux operating systems.

This latest release version expands upon the features  of the previous versions, which have been used to create applications ranging from Vehicle Styling to Broadcast Graphics. New features include support for Cg 2.0  and its new G80 features, including Geometry Shaders and Texture Arrays; support for new file formats such as PLY; new animation extensions and animation data for shaders; and support for NVIDIA Quadro® HD SDI Graphics-to-Video Output.

nvsg_logo.jpg A new beta version of the NVIDIA Scene Graph Software Development Kit (NVSG SDK) for Windows is available for download. (Linux versions will be available soon.) Major improvements include a revision of core object handling, support for Cg 1.5, and an initial implementation of volume rendering.

cg.jpgCg 1.5 Beta 2 went live today. In addition on new features provided by the Beta 1, it introduces support for Solaris, Universal (X86+PowerPC) binaries for Mac OS and general compatibility improvements. Code samples have also been added.

cg.jpgCg 1.5 Beta 1 is available for download. This version of Cg features GLSL profiles for OpenGL and Shader Model 3 profiles for Direct3D. A procedural API for effect creation has also been added to support COLLADA. As always, this most recent version has been tuned for higher performance.
